The current trend in the video game industry is getting a little old. A majority of new, popular video games have a plot based on war and assassination. This makes people who are fairly inexperienced in the video game world feel as if they’re too late to the party. Almost all new or upcoming games are building off an existing series, so It’s refreshing to hear about a new release with an original plot. Too many games require getting a team together, either locally or online. Personally, when I desire to play a video game, I’m seeking solitude. I want a fun, one player game to escape in and feel good about. Similar in style to Sony’s Little Big Planet is a game that I may find to be quite enjoyable – called Unravel. These games include strategy games, action games and puzzle games. 1) Table Top Racing This game is brought to you by the co creator of Wipe Out, it is a new combat racing kind of game that is offered to players in outstanding graphics and has eight different racing tracks with seventeen cars that can be upgraded. There are also 6 different game modes. Players will use great weapons and features to slow down their enemies to win the race. Of course, all of these races take place on table tops, which explains the name of the game. 2) Guess the 90s If you are a 90s kid, then you will surely enjoy this game. It is a guessing & puzzle game that is dedicated for those who enjoyed watching 90s TV shows such as Beavis and Butthead and Full House or liked collecting POGS. 2014 is going to be a great year in terms of gaming because of the great amount of new games that are going to make their debut. This includes Xbox One games, PS4 games and PC games. Here is our own list of the top 5 games of 2014. 1) Elders Scroll Online The highly popular gaming franchise, the Elders Scrolls will release yet another anticipated game after giving us the mega hit game, Skyrim. This new edition is Elders Scroll Online and it is the first online installment of the franchise. The game has been in the making for 7 full years. It is going to be a MMORPG game that predates Skyrim by a 1000 years. It will take place across the continent of Tamriel. So far, the game is in its beta testing phase and it is going to be available for players for a monthly fee that is equal $14.99. 2) Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is a PS4 exclusive game that takes place in an English village after THE apocalypse that leaves 6 humans after most of humanity has vanished into the abyss. The game is brought to you by the makers of Amnesia and Dear Esther, the indie studio, The Chinese room.
